The Sadness
So, I have been thinkin’. What I have been thinkin’, is that I am not too happy with the way that this blog has progressed in the last one year or so. The first thing, of course, is that I have not updated it much at all. Apart from that, there is another issue
What I have also noticed, is that I have been adding in blog posts that are linked to some of the sites & programmes for which I am an affiliate. While I only recommend products that I have tested myself, and am happy with, I want to separate the blog posts from the affiliate recommendations.
The Future
My future direction points towards a separation from wordpress.com on which I currently reside, to wordpress.org, which gives me greater functionality. This move is still two months away. Till then, I will be here.
That site will be called http://rajivchopra.co, as opposed to this one, which is http://rajivchopra.me
Additionally, my photography blogging will increasingly go to medium.com, as well as my photography site called http://www.rajivchopra.com
Just so you know! Let’s see what I do with this one. It may survive in a somewhat diminished form, or it may die.
In the meanwhile, let me leave you with one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite singers.
What’s the difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org Rajiv?
Leslie
wordpress.org gives more functionality. But you may need a web designer to help
Thanks for the clarification..
Plus, wordpress.org allows some e-commerce plugins like WooCommerce and Shopify. So, if you want to sell your music from your blog, WP.org is better
good to know…
What a song! I liked the black-and-white portrait of Cohen, too!
Oh yes. It is a brilliant one
I like all your ideas and plans. I will be interested to know how the .org WP works for you.
