The conversation continues. There will be a change ..
“Life is strange, and desire is strong, Difficult then, to distinguish between right and wrong. I wanted money, I wanted glory, I desired strongly, to write my story; In the brightest colours, and in a blaze of light, I would then light up the cold, dark night.”
“No one would be allowed to block my path, Ha!Ha! If needed, I’d leave behind a blood bath. The roads, the halls all piled with souls, Of those misbegotten spirits, who’d be so bold – To oppose me, to thwart me, to come between me, And my desires, and all that I wanted to be.”
Lucifer smiled, his teeth were white, His eyes were red, and full of spite. Or so, would seem to a mere mortal, Who could not look into the soul’s portal. Who draws the line, between good and bad? Without this question, priests would be sad.
“Puss, my dear, desire will drive you, It will move you, and it will bind you. You may try to control it, until you burst, And lost opportunities will make you curse. Or, you can subdue it, and be at peace; You can also use it, and do as you please.”
“My husband was the last to find out, What I intended, to bring about. More money, more fame; and, lovers galore. All at my service, to do my bidding and more. One night we stood, under the darkening sky, I again cast my spells, and started to fly.”
“My man was too good, and meek as a mouse; He sensed my new power, and ran from the house. On leaving he left, a small little note; On that white, scented paper, I saw what he wrote. ‘Puss, my dear darling, change your life’s goal; Go to the church. Pray. Don’t lose your soul.”
