Painful to look at ..but wonderfully captured 🙂
Thanks!
🙂
It grabs the heart Rajiv
Thanks… Vrindavan is a strange place. 5,000 temples with abusive priests. Widows who are destitute. Cows who are treated better than humans. Pilgrims who are credulous
A very effective photograph, Rajiv.
Thanks a lot!
This is a brilliant merging of poetry and image. Excellent!
Thanks! It was coincidental, I think!
I don’t think so 😉
Deep poem, and a terrific photo.
Thanks!
They did that in Lhasa too. They would prostrate themselves on the ground and crawl towards the Potala Palace.

I think it is more common than we think…
The devotion of so many people and the greed and debauchery of the clergy is rampant amongst most religions. (That isn’t to say there are no good priests)

The irony! Tells a story. Soulful picture!
the irony indeed… and, you love Vrindavan!
For the connect I have with him there. Beyond superficial priests, beyond crowds, beyond chaos. There is a place, he meets me there:)
Him??? Who is he????
A pathetic sight.People fooled in the name of religion.Depresing..yet you have capturd it well.
Thanks.
Yes, priests and politicians like us to be fools
Yes 😀
the effect you created with the vignette and graininess is profound!
Thanks.. Glad you like it!
It’s amazing isn’t it. The church still has this kind of heirarchy going on in some places.
I read a book called “In Gods Name ” by David Yallop… Very scary
I believe we do go with God…who or whatever created our universe and we will be home once we do. 🙂
For me, that is Nature…
that works 🙂
It does:)
You sound as if you don’t approve. Its little different to being a Catholic! 🙂
