Monochrome Madness: The Killing Fields

The Killing Fields
The Killing Fields

This is a continuation of the series of shots that I took, of the young kids who performed a play on how the farmers have been exploited by moneylenders.

This is an age old practice that has persisted for centuries, with loans being passed down from generation to generation, leading to a kind of bonded labour situation. Farmer suicides because of poor crops, exploitation by greedy money lenders has been common in India. It is being addressed today, by the central government and NGOs.

Yet….

For those who are curious, this is one that I had converted to B&W in Photoshop. I applied a further B&W filter using Topaz software to fine tune the tones. I also cloned out one of the teachers who was lurking in the background.
