This is my post for the challenge on “Intricate”.
The restaurant owner at a highway restaurant had chucked these onions and onion peels onto the roadside. While they were gently rotting, I thought that they made a nice, colourful and intricate pattern.
Nature makes it’s own patterns, even when we aren’t looking
Love it! To be able to take a picture of onion skins and make it look beautiful is truly art!!!!
Thank you… I noticed them quite by accident.
By the way it was extremely irresponsible for the restaurant owner to discard his waste in the open…
That is India, yes?
Onions or orchids, either way the fractal beauty remains in decomposition.
True.. I hope I have the time to start reading about fractals this year
I don’t think red onions have ever looked as good! 🙂
Yeah… They were rotting nicely in that patch of grass
ha ha .. you have such a way with words! Still looking good …
Thanks!
I’m crying 😉
Heh!Heh!
“Nature makes it’s own patterns, even when we aren’t looking.”
So true. And most of the time its patterns are built from a balance that we can never hope to replicate–which is why they’re so precious.
You hit the nail on the head perfectly.. We need to keep our eyes open for the unfolding patterns of nature
‘Nature makes it’s own patterns.’ You are Ab-so-LUTE-ly Right, Rajiv! 🙂
It does indeed, I think
