For this version of the photograph, I followed a slightly different path. I processed in colour using Phase One Capture 8.
I did convert the background (in PS) to a smart object, and gave some detail to the trees.
The conversion to B&W was done using Nik’s Silver Efex Pro.
For those who want to see both versions, the one I posted yesterday is added below.
Which do you prefer? I know which my preference is, but I am not telling!

The first one dramatic and the second one dreamy 😊😊loved both!
Quite different, yeah? And, just a tweak!
This is awesome work!!! I would love to look at color version of the second! Its just beautiful and imagining the colors, it makes it even more beautiful!
You want to see the colour version?
Yes, I want to!
Well okay,,, I am in Calcutta now, and am heading to Bombay. I shall post this when I am back home. Deal?
Deal 😀 I actually logged in after many days. So I will rush to your blog to check whether you have posted it already! 🙂
I will do so on the weekend….
Posted, ma’am! Check it out…
Today’s version is more intense, I think. 🙂
Yes, I like it better, too. More intense & contrast!
Cool, thanks… Well’ I think it does show that Lightroom is good for processing B&W
I agree that today’s version is more intense. I actually prefer the one from yesterday.
You find that one softer?
Yes.
I like both! 🙂
