  1. You know what is fascinating to me is that there are steps going down into the water! I’ve never seen anything like this! I noticed the tag says bathing ghats! I’m still trying to figure that out! Very interesting!

    1. It is very traditional to have steps going down into the water. The word ‘ghat’ means a body of steps leading down to water for bathing. Or, for launders. So, if you ever see a ghat called “Dhobi Ghat’, it refers to the ghat where old launderers would wash clothes. In famous religious towns, ghats have names

      1. I have a friend that told me that he had 3 or 4 and he was shocked that I did all my own laundry and housework and mowed grass. You know I would so love someone to do that for me. Driver what would that be like. Gosh I could get a lot of work done then. LOL
